about

Detrivore's Biotech EP features two tracks based on the sonic concept of 'organic technology'. A product of her environment, she aims to represent the yin and yang of our society's modern suburban culture.

Resolution is a sound design focused piece that embodies the EP title through the use of earthy, wooden textures and tribal melodies, contrasted by digital basses. You'll also hear the call of the Kiskadee, a bird found in her homeland, Bermuda.
Ninja attempts to recreate the technicality and inward focus of martial arts and spiritual practice, the technologies humans have created through their biology. Both songs also feature clean vocal and throat singing atmospheres, which are a homage to the power of the human to affect their environment through communication.

Alongside the originals, we also have two outstanding remixes by two bass music connoisseurs. The mighty gastropod Seppa (of the Slug Wife tribe) slithered out of the jungle to bring you a stripped back, atmospheric, hiphop-esque interpretation of Resolution, while Belgian badman Poztman ramps up the energy with a glitchy, percussive groover that has plenty of switch ups to keep your attention right through to the last bar.
