Forest Biz kick off 2022 with “TIME TRAVEL REMIXES”. The record remixes tracks from “TIME TRAVEL”, an EP released in October 2020 by Sahala, a Manchester-based vocalist who has made her name through releases with esteemed drum & bass labels Liquid V and Co-Lab Recordings. “TIME TRAVEL REMIXES” provides new contexts for her powerful vocals, sure to excite long-time fans and newcomers alike.

Arcane & Origin handle remix duties for ‘BREAK IN TIME’. The two submerge Sahala’s vocals in a sea of delicate melodies and slow-burn percussion, with the original track’s main riff sitting atop the sonic palette.

TEK-DIF’s take on ‘CONTROL’ kicks off with amorphous pads before unfurling into an intricate, brain-warping drum & bass exploration. Sahala’s chopped up vocals fly through deep bass, pulsing melody lines and deft rhythm work, each moving part working cohesively to lock the body into a continuous groove. Ultra Rare serves up downtempo vibes on his remix of ‘CONTROL’. Here, the producer places Sahala's vocal under metronomic percussion and atonal synths before dropping into a steady stream of pulsating rhythm and melody.

Up next is High Demand & Enigma’s remix of ‘RISE’. Kicking off with joyous harmonies and bouncy percussion, hyperspeed rhythm patterns and dreamy melodies take over later in the track.

ALTOSOUNDS' version of 'EXAMPLE' closes out the EP. A dark and ominous vibe is apparent all the way through, thanks to rumbling drum patterns and lava-thick bass. Sahala's powerful vocal runs add the finishing touches to the track, resulting in an alt-R&B banger that's minimal in scope, but packs one hell of a punch nonetheless.
