The latest Forest Biz signee, forester, debuts on the label with Primum Folium. Hailing from Germany, he previously appeared on the label's Mt.Hortus #2 compilation, and on this record, he delivers club ready D&B with an experimental flair.

‘Prepare’ opens the record. Grungy pads, sombre piano notes and a distorted bassline coalesce
around the ear. Later, hollowed percussion and warping low-end give the tune a measured pace, while echo-drenched piano riffs and twitchy samples pull the listener into an engaging trance.

‘Eager Beaver’ continues the ominous mood. Cement-thick low-end and mazy synth lines create the intro, while bass and percussion convulse in the verse. The former is thick like industrial metal, and each drum hit calls the body to dance.

'Analogue' features fellow Forest Biz alumni, Ciller. The introduction's pad arrangements are vast in scope, traversing the speaker like a mechanised vehicle from a sci-fi movie. Later, the two lay down gritty rhythms and synapse tweaking bass patterns, inviting the listener to shock out and get lost inside.

'Step Aside' is full of dualities. Deep bass patterns and melodic synths ring out together in the first verse. Later, the bass takes centre stage: a throbbing mass that grows wide and narrow over the percussion.

Final track, ‘Behind Me’ opens with cosmic synths and vocal samples. Tension builds, and after a brief drum fill, the tune is in full swing. Forester ensures the record leaves a lasting impression on the listener, deploying crashing bass lines and seismic lead riffs.
